  • Hello,

I have a couple things for you to try.

First, please try using an audio playback outside of PPC3. Whatever you have on your computer should be fine.

Secondly, please check the IRQ flags of the device while you try to play audio. The process is as follows:

    • Connect the EVM as normal
    • Open the tuning and audio processing section
      • Let the device load the register settings
      • Alternatively, you can use ROM mode instead of going to the tuning and audio processing section
    • Go back to the EVM home page in PPC3
    • Open up the Device Control section
    • Click on the IRQ button in the top right corner

Play an audio file for a little bit and see if any of these flags trigger.

Let me know if any of these are triggered.

    Thank you,

    Justin Beigel

  • Hi Justin Beigel:

This is the screenshot of the IRQ, open the IRQ - LIVE for the first time "TDM Clock Error" will flash light up after a few times

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

Since we see the TDM error here, can you probe the SBCLK pin (pin 15 on J7 on the TAS2563YBGEVM board) with an oscilloscope? Also, if possible, can you test with an external I2S? To do this, you will need to remove the ASI1 SEL jumper on the PPC3-EVM-MB.

    Best Regards,
