PCM1840: Confirm if the following devices only support digital microphone inputs

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to confirm if these 3 TI parts: PCM1840, TLV320ADC3140 and TLV320ADC5140 only support digital microphone inputs?

The goal of the product they are developing is to input a line (auxiliary for example from a smartphone) or a microphone.

Want to confirm if it supports well the other inputs (mic level and line-level).

Please let me know your comments.

Hi Jonathan,

The front page of these datasheets clearly shows the devices accept analog microphone and line input signals. They are ADCs (analog-to-digital converters) after all :).

For reference, the PCM1840 does not accept digital microphone inputs, but the other two devices can accept both analog and digital microphones.

For reference, the PCM1840 does not accept digital microphone inputs, but the other two devices can accept both analog and digital microphones.

They are all four-channel analog devices and can accept four analog inputs or a combination of analog and digital inputs as described here: TLV320ADCx140 Sampling Rates and Programmable Processing Blocks Supported
