Hi experts,

I am looking for a good piezo driver board and found two TI boards (DRV2700EVM and DRV2700EVM-HV500). I searched on the forum to get the answer of my query but not found any helpful answer. I want to control the piezo driver board output (0 to 150 V) from a computer running Linux OS. Are both boards support the control from Linux (running Python code) without any firmware or driver issue?

Thank you for pointing out these two boards. They are actually two of our best piezo drivers boards.

Unfortunately, none of our piezo drivers boards have been designed to work in a Linux environment. They are just supported by Windows recent versions.

Hi Luis,

In our application, we want to use Python script (running on Linux OS of raspberry pi) to control the piezo driver board through USB or any other standard interface. We don't need GUI for Linux (similar to TI provides for Windows for two piezo board). Is it possible to just change output voltages of the piezo board with few lines of Python script in Linux?

Some pointers I found here to send commands from Linux to MSP430 but some confirmations needed to buy TI piezo boards

Hi, Mumtaz,

In case you are looking for information to use the MSP430 in a Linux environment, I would recommend to ask about this MSP processor on E2E. Unfortunately, our EVM doesn't have Linux support in our team. But if you ask about this MSP device, E2E will address you to the right team and they can guide you with the necessary information about what you need to program the MSP430 in a linux environment (in case they support linux).
