TL971: Negative output current

Good day.


Can you please confirm if the TL971 provides a bidirectional output current? Can it output a negative current?

    Hello Carlo,

    TL971 does provide a bidirectional output current just like every other op amp. The sink drive (current into the output pin) is very strong at all supply voltages.

    The source current drive (current coming out of the output pin) is weaker and varies with supply voltage. Sample data below
