Hallo
I am using the TAS5782 EVM board at the moment for a project. I was preforming some measurement today using Klippel system with the speaker connected to the TAS5782 EVM board in USB mode. I found an issue in between two measurements, I state the workflow below so it is easier to recreate the problem
The speaker is connected to the EVM board, EVM board connects to the PC via USB and audio is played from the PC. A microphone is used to measure the SPL data.
I was working with a project file in ppc3 GUI, then I changed to a different project file and changed back to my project file where I was working. Without changing anything I performed a measurement and I got a corrupted/different SPL response. See the attached picture for the difference between the original and corrupted SPL response. Then I simply turned off and on my power supply to the EVM board and measured again and now the SPL response was back to the original SPL response.
After doing some more measurements I found out that this issue is similar to using the invert phase of BQ1 in the crossover tab.
Hi Shauk,
Thanks for pointing this out to us. We can take a look at this next week.
Best Regards,
Robert Clifton
Good morning,
can I ask when this will be looked at please - as its an important discovery that is making our testing of EQ potentially much longer and less precise
further update - we are on reflection now blocked until we can understand this further in detail - we cannot reliably until we understand the root cause of the effect seen above
Hello Edward,
I saw on the other post that Shauk was using an older version of PPC3, can he confirm that he is getting the issue with the updated SW.
Best regards,
Luis
