Hello Support team,

What are VCOM mode and VREF mode of AVDD at "Recommended Operation Condition" in datasheet?

The other hand, AVDD is defined as different value at Electric Characteristic p9.

Which is proper value ?

    Hi Takahashi-san,

    This is actually a holdover from the PCM5122 device, which is very similar. The PCM5102A is a smaller device and does not have I2C access and VREF/VCOM mode available. The PCM5122 datasheet describes the differences between the VCOM and VREF mode - but, the PCM5102A only supports the VREF mode, so really that is the only item that should be listed in the table. I will notify the systems team to see if we can remove that from the table.

    The Recommended Operating Condition table describes the power supply voltages that are recommended for best performance.  The Electrical Characteristics table is showing the min and max for functional operation.  

    As this device operates in VREF mode, the full-scale amplitude of the output is determined by an internal reference voltage of approximately 3V.  The Recommended minimum AVDD voltage is 3.2V to ensure that the reference has enough headroom to operate.  In VCOM mode, the amplitude is determined by a resistor divider fro mthe AVDD supply, meaning the amplitude will ratiometrically reduce when the supply is lower, which is why AVDD can be as low as 3V.  Once again, the PCM5102A only supports VREF mode.
