Substitution for ON-semi FMS6501

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH6580

Hello all,

I am Dave.

Does anyone know the TI substitution for the on-semi product FMS6501?

It's the 12 input / 9 output video switch matrix with input clamp, input bias circuitry and output drivers.

The following figures show the data of the FMS6501.

Thanks,

Dave Chang

  • Hi Dave,

The closest part we have is the LMH6580 - parametrically speaking -   which is a 8:4 cross point switch matrix with a gain of 1 or 2.

The setup would require multiple chips to support 12 inputs going to 9 individual channels. Unused inputs/outputs should be terminated to ground.

The other differences are that you program this device through serial programing and not I2C.

If you have any other questions please let me know!

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
