Inquiry about microphone amplifier (including solution)

Hi, Support Team

Inquiry about microphone amplifier was received from a customer.

Please recommend a product that satisfies the specifications below.

1. Purpose: To implement similar functions to hearing aids

2. Required function
- AGC
- LPF
- 20~40dB Amplifier

If there is a solution that can implement the above functions even if it is not a one-chip, please recommend it.

You may take a look at the mic preamplifier portfolio:

Regarding AGC and filtering there are some things to consider: Microphone Preamplifiers | Products | Audio | TI.com

One option is to use CODEC or similar device to perform the required processing. Some of these devices may have already Mic connection which would be useful TLV320AIC3263 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
- Some of these devices can be connected at the output to a power stage for the speaker. It can be Class-AB or Class-D amplifier
- Some of these devices include a power stage in the same IC
Another option is to connect the output of the mic preamp directly to a "power stage" amplifier, some of these devices have some features like AGC and filtering can be applied using RC circuits along the signal path. TPA2018D1 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
