TPA3110D2-Q1: Clear the DC detect

Part Number: TPA3110D2-Q1

Hi team,

My customer use TPA3110D2-Q1 in their project. When the DC detect fault is triggered, the fault must be reset by cycling PVCC as shown in the datasheet.

But for the automotive applications, PVCC is always powered on a regular basis, so if DC protection occurs, the machine needs to be opened to re-plug to recover. This is clearly unacceptable.

The datasheet shows that short circuit fault can be set to auto-recovery by connecting FAULT pin to SD pin, but it not useful for DC detect fault.

Maybe I have misunderstood on it. Could you please help give some comments on this question?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,

Ivy
