PCM4201: Frequency response plot

Hi E2E,

Good day.

The datasheet shows the frequency response of the device start at 20Hz. Can you provide any frequency response plots for 20Hz to 1Hz? Our customer will be using the PCM4201 to measure the output of an amplifier that amplifying a signal between 1Hz and 1kHz and they are interested in the frequency response, with and without the DC filter.

Hi Carlo,

The minimum our measurement equipment can go is down to 5Hz. With the HPF enabled though the -3dB cutoff frequency will be at 1Hz so you can expect a flat response down to about 10Hz. Without the DC filter the response will be flat across frequency but their will be a large DC offset in the output since audio devices are not typically trimmed for DC precision.

Thank you for your response. On the other hand, can you provide a frequency response plot for the high end, such as 0.45 * FS and above?
