Hi Team,
Is it okay for the MCLK and BLCK to be tied together for the TAS2505-Q1? Is there any issue with doing this? Does the device need to be configured in a certain way within the registers to allow this?
Thank you!
Jared

Hello Jared,
I am looking into this thread and will respond as soon as possible.

Hello Jared,
I don't see any issue when having MCLK and BCLK tied together but if the BCLK is being used for the PLL or CODEC_CLKIN, you could also just tie the MCLK to GND. One potential concern I could see if not having a high enough frequency BCLK on the PLL (which is one reason why the MCLK is available) so just make sure that the PLL is setup correctly if it is being used.

Hi Justin,
Thank you for the insight! Is there any register configuration that needs to take place in order to operate with MCLK and BLCK tied together?
Thanks,
Jared
Hi Jared,
There is no additional register configuration that needs to take place if these are tied together.
