TAS2110: Shutdown when BST enable

Hi,

My customer is evaluating the TAS2110.

When BST enabled, the output stops as below;

This phenomenon is improved by adding VBST pin capacitance.

Do you assume what is this caused by?

Though I'm requesting my customer to read interrupt resisters, it seems to take time.

Is this using the TAS2110EVM or the customer board? If this is the customer board, are they open to sharing the schematic? What is the value of the current VBST capacitor?

Hi Kuramochi-san,

After review of the schematic you shared with our team, it looks good overall, however I do have some comments about PVDD/VBST.

It is recommended to have at least 2 decoupling capacitors on these pins, they're connected together but located on opposite sides of the IC. You should place at least 1 capacitor close to each pin.
It is possible this lack of decoupling capacitance in boost rail is causing some clock errors, ultimately causing the device to shutdown.

My conclusion would be customer need to add more capacitance in VBST/PVDD, this is alligned with customer test results.
