Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320DAC3120
Dear team
There is a good news that we design in TPA3111D1 in customer's new project.
In this condition, what is the value of output power?
many thanks

Hi Denny,
As stated in your schematic, the gain is 20dB or 10V/V. With 1Vrms in, the output will be 10Vrms. With a 12V supply, one cannot get to 10Vrms without clipping. To calculate the power with losses, look at section 7.3.4 in the datasheet for the details.
Dear Gregg
Customer plan the speaker out structure is as follows :
Could you help find Attenuator and I2S Stereo to Mono solution.
many thanks
Denny
Denny,
I would need more information. What voltage or power do you want at the speaker load with the 1Vrms signal?
Hi Gregg
The preliminary setting for TPA3111D1PWPR is below, due to the minimum gain setting is 20dB, so we would need an Attenuator before INP input, then fine tune it to our target power 5~8W, if the INP input is 1Vrms that output will be clipped from comments.
many thanks
Denny
Hi Denny,
I created a basic circuit in TI-Tina. The attenuator you need is made of R1, R2, and R3.
Dear Gregg
The customer reply as below
Can you provide Attenuator with single-end output, we want to follow the schematic in datasheet and EVM.
many thanks
Denny
Denny,
You need to use the attenuator that I proposed for a single ended source to the differential input. The input must have a balanced input impedance for the best audio performance.
Hi Gregg
Thanks your reply of attenuator.
1. For I2S Stereo to Mono solution, Is tlv320dac3120 meets requirements of customer?
Many thanks
Denny
