ADC12DJ5200RFEVM: How to get JMODE22 working

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RFEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSW14J57EVM,

Hi team

Good day

My customer need some help:

I am trying to run ADC12DJ5200RFEVM with TSW14J57EVM and run it on JMODE22. However I keep getting an error and nothing shows up. Secondly, on the HSDC Pro software, there is no configuration for JMODE 25

Regards

Aosker

  • Hi Aosker,

Can you try loading different firmware into the FPGA. On the HSDCpro click Instruments option and then download firmware and select "TSW14J57revE_BRAM_RxOnly_16L_FIRMWARE.rbf" and try to capture.

For JMODE25 please copy the attached file to following location. Disconnect and connect back the TSW14J57EVM. The file will show in dropdown menu in HSDCpro.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\14J57revE Details\ADC files

    ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE25.ini

  • Hi Neeraj,

I was able to get JMODE22 working but on a lower data rate. Could you tell me what is the max data rate that JMODE22 works on?

  • Hi Shreshth,

The max clock frequency supported by JMODE22 is 5.2GHz this is Dual edge sampling mode which means the sampling frequency is double the clock rate = 10.4Gsps and also this mode uses decimation by 4. The output data rate is 10.4Gsps/4 = 2.6Gsps.

    Regards,

    Neeraj
