In 4-ch pixel interleaved REC656 in TVP5158, I know that channel ID can also be inserted in horizonal blanking data.

1、 Which register of DM6467 can be used to get the channel ID?

2、Does the data that are saved into SDRAM are with metadata(SAV or EAV)?

3、How can DM6467 find out the SAV?

Hello Zhao,

The channel ID is inserted in metadata and it is in DM6467 SDRAM. The SAV and EAV are also in metadata. Do you have sample DM6467-TVP5158 driver? If not, you can download from this URL: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/dsps_swops_houston/ANALOG_VIDEO/DM_TVP5158_Driver.htm.

I have viewed the memory of SDRAM where is set to store my video data ,But I didn't find the data is "FF 00 00 XY" format .The data in SDRAM is such as "0x1F801F7F".I think it is the real video data without the metadata,is it right?

Hello James ,

I had read that datasheet.I don't understand how the DSP demultipex the 4-ch data.I only konw DSP must get the Channle ID from the metadata.But how does the DSP automatically get the ID of each channel?

I have another question:

when tvp5158 works with line-interleaved mode,the datasheet said that:

the start code is inserted following the SAV in super-frame.There are channel ID in start code(SC[3]).

I want to know the Channel ID is set autoly by tvp5158?

Or the Channel ID is set by user?if yes,which register should I program?

I have other questions:

1、I didn't get the EAV ,horizon blank and SAV,what may be the reasons?

2、But I think I get the start code, as shown belowing：

0x70708080
0xC7C78181
0x01010101
... ...(66 groups of 0x01010101)

.....(video code)

3、But the Channel ID always 8080(as shown above blue words).I choose the second channel and the forth channel for port A,so I think it shoulde be "8181" or "8383".Could you help me annalize the reason?

By the way ,the tvp5158 is set in the 2-CH D1 line-interleaved mode.
