Hi,

Please help me to get the following information:

1. What is the time it takes for the ads8330 to restore back to normal operation after a software reset is done(by making CFR_D0 as 0).

2.After a software reset, does the ads8330 return to normal operation by itself or should the CFR_D0 be set(to 1) through software?

Hi Kiran,

The ADS8330 should reset during the cycle in which you commanded the SW reset so that everything is refreshed with the next conversion sequence. The CFR_D0 is self clearing assuming you want to use the POR defaults. You do not have to re-write/set it to '1'.

Thanks for your reply.Can you please tell me the time(in milliseconds/microseconds) it takes for the ads8330 to return to normal operation after a SW reset is given.I need that information.It is not available in the datasheet provided by TI.

Hi Kiran,

Reset should complete within 2 cclk cycles, so the absolute time will depend on the source of your cclk, are you using internal or external?
