ADS54J60EVM: Using without TSW14J56EVM

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Since our customer will only use the ADS54J60EVM and will develop their own software to read/display the ADC waveform, can they only power on the ADS54J60EVM and use its USB to control the registers without the TSW14J56EVM ?

In addition, There are two SYSREF clock from the clock generator (LMK04828): one to ADC and one to FPGA on the FMC connector.   Since they are both for multiframe JESD frame alignment, they think they should be set to the same frequency.  For his setup (LMFS=8224 and K=10), the SYSREF is 3.125MHz for both ADC SYSREF and FPGA SYSREF signals.  Is this okay?

    The ADS54J60EVM can operate stand alone. The board has it's own GUI for programming the ADC and LMK.

    SYSREF is basically = data rate / (K * N)  where N is any whole integer. I cannot tell you if your SYSREF rate is correct without knowing the data rate. 

    The SYSREF does not have to be the same for both the receiver and transmitter devices, but in most cases it usually is.
