ADS131B04-Q1EVM: Device Not Supported - Error

Part Number: ADS131B04-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS131B04-Q1, ADS131M04

Software for ADS131B04-Q1EVM looks as it is installed correct, but I get the Error: Device not Supported (70001). Call Chain: ADS131B0x.lvlib:Main.vi

Interface board is marked PHI EVM Controller-A

The LED D5 lights up and the D1 and D2 is blinking fast after power on, but when the software tries to communicate the blink frequency is lowered.

What can I do to get it working?

Br Knud Erik

  • Hello Knud,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please provide a screen capture of the Device Manager after connecting the EVM to the PC? Does the EVM enumerate differently after starting the ADS131B04-Q1EVM GUI? A screen capture of the error will also be helpful.

I believe when the frequency of D1 and D2 blinking reduces, the EVM has successfully connected to the GUI, so I'm not immediately sure what may be causing this error.

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan - thanks for Your reply - here is a picture of the device manager after connecting the EVboard and a oscilloscope picture showing the SYNC/RESET signal and the two LED's when the app is started.

    Picture of Device manager:

    Picture of SYNC/RESET signal and LED D1 / D2

The first part is before starting the app, last part is when the fault is showing up.

Yellow trace is reset, green trace is D1 and orange trace is D2. Timebase is 1 sec/div

  • Hi Knud,

Thanks for the update. I'll talk with our software team and see what next steps we can suggest.

  • Hello Knud,

Thanks for your patience. I've reached out to you via email with more information.

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hello Knud - We've identified that some of the ADS131B04-Q1EVMs were programmed incorrectly by our CM as ADS131M04EVMs instead. Please try using the ADS131M04EVM GUI for now while we correct this issue. Since the digital interface is the same as the ADS131M04, you should still be able to communicate with the ADS131B04-Q1 on-board and evaluate its performance.

    Best regards,

    Ryan
