Hello,

I got a bit confused with Vcc and Vss supply of the DAC81408. There is a note in the evaluation boar manual saying that 9 V < (Vcc-Vss) < 43 V.

But also there is an example in the datasheet showin Vcc = 21.5 V and Vss = -21.5 V.

Can then Vss = - Vcc ?

    Hi,

    DAC81408 needs the following supplies.

    VCC = 9V (min) & 43V (Max)

    VSS = -21V(min) & 0V( Max). 

    Depends on the configuration you want to operate, you can choose the supplies.Say you want to operate in biploar output range (+/-10V), your VCC can be 12V and VSS = -12V

    In unipolar mode output range ( eg: 0 to 5V), VCC should be 9V (min) and VSS can be 0V

    Also VCC-VSS should be 9V(Min) and 43V (Max). 

    VCC = 21.5 & VSS = -21.5 is a valid option
