We are investigating if we can use this device of EC metering in the water treatment industrie. The impedance measurement range is 100 Ohm to 100kOhm, So we need to do some custom modifications. To reach this dynamic range we want to connect a programmable resistor between DACOUT and DAC_FILT_IN so we can change the excitation current to lower values. Also we need to add opamps to avoid disturbance by the low input impedance.
How high can the resistance between DACOUT and DAC_FILT_IN get without introducing problems? Can you make some suggestions how to implement an high dynamic range impedance meter?
