DAC7760: SDO pin, push-pull or open drain?

Genius 16775 points
Part Number: DAC7760

Hello,

I think SDO pin of DAC7760 is push-pull output.
But my customer is reporting that it requires an external pull-up.
Without the pull-up, it doesn't work.

Is SDO open drain?

Oba

  • Oba-san,

The DAC7760 output should be push-pull. None of the example circuits in the datasheets and neither of the two EVMs have pull up resistors have pull-up resistors on SDO. In some of our devices, SDO needs to be enabled, but in this device SDO is always enabled.

Can they share a schematic? I wanted to check to see if there was anything else on the SDO, make sure that the controller side and the device side I/O are at the same voltage, and to see if the GND is also connected correctly.

  • Hello Joseph,

Today I tested with DAC7760EVM and confirmed it is push-pull output buffer.
I will send the schematic by E-mail.
