DAC101C081Q: Can we ignore the tf(fall time(min)) for DAC101C081QISD/NOPB

Part Number: DAC101C081Q

Hi ~

We have a signal measure for I2C of DAC101C081QISD/NOPB. BUT it can't meet the min of tf(fall time) for DAC101C081QISD/NOPB requirement.

After we checked other parts(ex.9702) of TI, this spec can be ignored. So... Is it must to meet or can be ignored for DAC101C081QISD/NOPB?

Evan

  • Hi Evan,

Not meeting the minimum fall time requirement should have no effect on the DAC101C081Q. The minimum rise and fall times for the fast and high speed modes come from the I2C standard (version 6):

Fast and high speed devices include spike suppression on the SDA and SCL inputs. This DAC supports standard mode which has no minimum fall time, so it should be ok if the minimum fall time is not met when using fast mode or high speed mode.

    Best,
