In have already gone through that link.

It contains ADC's that support JESD204C, but I could not find any DAC's that support JESD204C.

Can you mention any specific part number ?

This is the HSC forum. We currently do not have any DAC's that support JESD204C but will have one in the near future. The TX portion of the AFE7900 and AFE7950 do support JESD204C.

I have developed my Custom JESD204C Tx and Rx IP's which can support 64B66B CRC 12, CRC 3 and FEC Modes

Now I want to test my IPs on TI EVM's

My Requirements :

1. EVM (Tx and Rx) must support FEC Mode.

2. Must be tested at High Data Rates above 24 Gbps.

Transceiver AFE7900 and AFE7950

1. Does these support FEC Mode and High Data Rates

2. In the Datasheets of AFE7900 and AFE7950, Nothing is mentioned about FEC mode...Can you provide detailed Datasheets of these transceivers ?

1. I have requested for the full datasheet of AFE7900.

2. Does this Transceiver support SERDES rate above 24 Gbps ?

3. Also What is the basic difference between EVM of this transceiver and EVM of ADC/DAC ?? Does ADC/DAC EVM provide any additional features ?

2. Yes. AFE79xx supports SERDES rates above 24Gbps.

3. AFE79xx has multiple DACs and ADCs integrated into it. This EVM supports evaluation of both ADCs and DACs.

Hi Vijayendra Varma,

I got access for Datasheets of AFE7900, AFe7950, AFE7906, AFE7903.

But in all these Datasheets, there is no information about FEC Mode in 64B66B Encoding.

I think only CRC 12 and CRC 3 are supported.

So Can I assume that FEC mode is not supported by these Transceivers ?

Can you suggest any DAC which supports JESD204C FEC Mode and SERDES RATE more than 24 Gbps ?

Hi Pavan,

You are correct. The AFE79xx doesn't support FEC in 64b66b encoding mode.

We don't have any released devices with DACs that support FEC.

Hi Pavan,

The only DAC that goes beyond 24Gbps JESD lane rate is available in AFE79xx. But this does not have JESD 204C FEC mode. So there's no TI part available to support this mode. I apologize for the inconvenience
