ADS8556: ADS8556IPMR

Hello,

I am performing Signal Integrity analysis using ADS8556IPMR IBIS model available on following link: www.ti.com/.../sbam011

with DIO_3 buffer model as an input buffer, I am getting 3.3V at an input of this Buffer as expected. But while using same buffer model as an output buffer , max voltage I am observing at the other end is 3v.

 

Could you pls help me to understand what may be the reason of getting voltage of 3V in spite of 3.3V while using DIO_3 as an output buffer model.

Please note that the Buffer model of Controller is constant in both the case (as a driver as well as as receiver)

    Pali,

    I am not very familiar with IBIS signal integrity, but the IBIS model does have data for 3.3V, but it is only at max numbers, if used at typical values, it does seem to be at 3.0V. This aligned with the device specs, at nominal 3.0V DVDD, as listed in the datasheet
