ADC128S102QML-SP: fSCLK MIN Minimum clock frequency

Hi to all,

I have a question regarding the "fSCLK MIN Minimum clock frequency" of the ADC128S102QML-SP:

1) according the latest Datasheet of the "-SP"-Type "NAS411P –AUGUST 2008–REVISED APRIL 2017"
    section "6.5 Electrical Characteristics: ADC128S102QML-SP Converter"
    the "fSCLK MIN Minimum clock frequency" is 0,8 MHz (MAX = 16MHz)
2) according the latest Datasheet of the commercial-Type "SNAS298G –AUGUST 2005–REVISED JANUARY 2015"
    section "6.5 Electrical Characteristics"
    the "fSCLK MIN Minimum clock frequency" is 8 MHz (TYP = 0,8 MHZ, MAX = 16MHz)

May be this question was asked several times ago (?):
--> What is the correct value for "fSCLK MIN" for the "-SP"-Type (0,8 MHz)?
--> What is the correct value for "fSCLK MIN" for the commercial-Type? (8 MHZ)?
      What is the meaning of "fSCLK MIN" = 8 MHz and "fSCLK TYP" = 0,8 MHz (should it be vice versa)?

    Hi Bodo,

    This looks like a typo to me.  The ADC128S102 came from the National Semiconductor team and they had a slightly different way of producing datasheets.  Here is a snippet from the SNAS298F datasheet:

    The National style datasheet used 'Limits' to express the operation conditions under which the electrical characteristics were determined.  Their 'Typical' in the case above was the minimum fSCLK MIN value noted in the leftmost column.  We'll work on getting this cleared up in the next datasheet revision.

    Unfortunately it is still not clear for me:
    1) What is the "fSCLK MIN" value for the  "-SP"-Type: is it the value which is stated in the datasheet 0,8 MHz (MAX = 16MHz)?
    2) What is the "fSCLK MIN" value for the commercial-Type: is it also 0,8 MHz (MAX = 16MHz)?

    They are both 0.8MHz minimum, 16MHz maximum.
