My customer is considering to go back from AFE5808A to AFE5808 to avoid the supply constraint.
Could you please help us to clarify the register setting and behavior difference between them?
[ADC register]
address 0xA：SYNC_PATTERN
When this register is set, the test patter is output from eight channels simultaneously.
How the test pattern generated in AFE5808 which doesn't have this register?
Does it generate the test pattern per channel? Or, it generates the pattern without the register setting?
address 0x42：DITHER
The ADC quantization error looks improved with this register.
Does AFE5808 not have this functionality?
What will happen if this register is set in AFE5808?
[VCA register]
address 0x32：PGA_CLAMP_-6dB
It looks like PGA_CLAMP_LEVEL (0x33) is expanded.
I think this register should secure the linearity for the over flow.
