I use DM6437 and TVP5158 to capture the videos.

I have two questions:

1、what is the interrupt of tvp5158 used for?Does it used to inform the back-end DSP to know the data have been captured?How does the DSP detect the interrupt from tvp5158?

2、What is the Patch Down Load used for ?Must I do Patch Down Load before the tvp5158 works normally?

    Zhao,

    The TVP5158 can use various lock and signal status conditions to generate an interrupt to the DM6437.   The DM6437 can use this signal to determine if an input signal is connected for example.  The DM6437 must be configured to either process this signal as an interrupt or poll this signal to deternmine when a change occurs. 

    See REG 72h ii the TVP5158 datasheet for interrupt sources.  Use of the latest TVP5158 patch code is requried for proper operation.  The patch code is loaded into TVP5158 RAM following power-up/Reset and provides the latest firmware enhancements.
