ADS7830: calculating method for the output

Hi team,

my customer is using our ADS7830 in server, the requirements for the resolution and sample rate is not critical.

But the datasheet is not specific enough, could you help give the detailed calculating method for the output.

And I notice this is a old socket, if there is a better choice, please let me know.

    Hi Fanbin,

    The LSB size when using the internal reference of 2.5V is ~9.8mV. So the Output Code * 9.8mV should be the voltage that was sampled at the input. If you are using an external reference, then the LSB size can be calculated as Vref/(2^8). If this is what you are not referring to, let me know!

    Also, we have plenty of newer ADCs. I can look for another option if you'd like or feel free to use our parametric search on ti.com to narrow down some more options.
