Hi Team,

We have a mmWave radar project that can replace ADAR7251 in my customer, need your support to select a device that can meet below requests:

1. MMIC is BGT24MTR11, DSP is ADSP21479.

2. Dual differential simultaneous sampling channels

3. >=16bit

4. >=100k SPS

5. serial data interface, can support master mode(provide clock/ready signal)

6. Conversion Start pin support.

Hi Rory,

Could you please provide more detail? Number of Rx/Tx antennas, frequency range, distance range, range resolution, velocity resolution, etc.

Knowing any additional parameters and specifications you can provide will help me to better assist you.

Hi Brennan,

It is 2T, 2R for 24GHz radar. Not for distance measure, but for speed measurement. Speed measurement range is 10-250km/h with 1km/h accuracy.

Do we have a suitable solution that can compete with ADAR7251? I realized that AFE5401-Q1 cannot support serial data interface.

Can you please clarify, are you looking for a radar device? Or are you looking for an ADC to replace on your radar device PCB? This will help me to answer your question.

I am looking for an ADC as the title showed to replace ADAR7251, which is also an ADC. Do you have recommend? If no idea, can you please tell me who can I reach out to?

We highly recommend using TI's mmWave devices which combine the Radar RF frontend and the post processing on a single chip eliminating the need for external ADC and processing.

Please look at the variety of applications which can be enabled with TI's mmWave products and equivalent ready to use examples.

We got 100% 77G radar share in this customer. Now it is for 24G radar, I do not think our Radar can support this band. Please see my request, if no suitable ADC can support, I will say no to customer. thanks.
