ADS1299: How to solve the problem that ads1299 comes to clutter every other period of time?

Part Number: ADS1299

I have configured the relevant registers of ads1299, but during the test, I found that a clutter will suddenly come every certain time. I want to know whether there is a problem with my configuration or hardware interference? How can I eliminate the problem and solve it?

The relevant registers are configured as follows:

  • Hi Wu,

    Thanks for the post.

It is difficult to tell what the issue can be from the information provided. I suggest verifying your system with the internal test signals and input-shorted test to ensure the hardware design is meeting your specification.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

I have used the signal generator to input a sine wave, which can be output normally, but there will still be a clutter interference output at intervals. What is the general reason for the interference?

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

When I use the internal signal test, there will be a full screen clutter every once in a while. How can I eliminate the cause?

  • Hi Wu,

Thanks for the information. If you are seeing issue with the internal test signal, then you probably want to look into your firmware and software to make sure you can consistently get the correct internal test signal waveform without any corruption.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

Can you help me see if there is any problem with the register configuration above me? Is this configuration correct?

    Thanks

    -Wu

  • Hi Wu,

The registers configuration looks fine to me.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

Will I put all electrodes as well as RLD and LEAD_ N is connected together to measure the external noise signal, but the signals of two channels are different from those of other channels. What is the reason? How to eliminate it?

channel  1 and channel 9  full scale

    Thanks.

  • Hi Wu,

    Thanks for the post.

It is difficult to tell what the issues are by just looking at the output waveforms. Can you provide information on the test schematic and test setup? If you do not wish to share the materials on the public forum, please send your questions along with the schematics to the mailing list ads129x-support@list.ti.com

If possible, please implement the internal test signal and verify the system functionality is correct. This will help to isolate and identify the root cause of the issues.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

I just connect all the electrodes to measure the external noise.

When I set CHnSET to 0x61, the internal noise can be measured normally.

  • Hi Wu,

Sorry for the delay in response as I was out of the office.

It is good to know you are able to measure the internal noise normally. However, it will also be helpful if you can also verify the functionality with the internal test signal.

    Thanks
