In my project i am using ADS1256 with RPI , i can able to read the adc values with ADS1256 development board with RPI CM4 but i couldn't read the adc values with custom board which is designed from our team. it shows me ID read failed. i have used the source code which is provided from the Waveshare, in the code ID used is 3 but when i run the code iID printed as 15 and ID read is failed. the hardware design and all is done with the reference of : https://www.waveshare.com/w/upload/2/29/High-Precision-AD-DA-board.pdf .
so please help me to resolve this problem.

Hi Sagar,
What are the differences between your board and the board that worked? If the firmware worked on one board it is likely that there is a hardware issue.

hello bryan,
thanks for your reply actually in ADS1256 kit i have used waveshare source code itself but it worked for on board potentiometer and LDR with chip select pin what they mentioned and i changed CS,RESET and DRDY pin number to other RPI gpio pins then it showed me ID read failed .
i don't know what to do any hints to resolve this issue??.
Hi Sagar,
Have you reached out to Waveshare customer support for help on this issue? It sounds like the ADS1256 is working fine, but there is some issue with the new board (compared to the Waveshare board) and the firmware (which belongs to Waveshare). So I am not sure how I can help you here.
