Hi!

I am working on analog design with MSC1200Y3 (8051 core), more to say I have to fix some things in project.

For programming software I am using Keil uVision 3.

My question is which programmer can you recommend me to program this microcontroller (MSC1200Y3)?

Hi Sasa,

Unfortunately we have very limited support resources available for the MSC12xx devices. The easiest was to program the MSC1200 device is with a serial (UART) based method. This can be done using a terminal program such has TeraTerm, HyperTerminal, etc.. This is described in the following documents (even though MSC1210 is described the process is the same for the MSC1200):

Some time ago I also created an application note regarding a programmer. This programmer was never available for purchase and the relevant files and program are no longer available, but perhaps the schematic within the document will be helpful to show how the computer can be connected via either RS232 or through a virtual COM port to the MSC12xx devices.
