AFE58JD32: JESD interface behavior

Part Number: AFE58JD32

During AFE58JD32 JESD bring up in our system, we have discovered that the internal odd mux channels sometimes show up where the even mux channels should be (and vice versa) relative to the JESD multi-frame and frame signaling coming out of the JESD receiver. I test this by putting a known signal on AIN16. I sometimes see the AIN16 converted value show up where I expect odd channel data (AIN15 in this case) and sometimes I see it show up where I expect it to (AIN16 in this case).

I have discovered that I can cause this even/odd flipping by resetting and reconfiguring the AFE which includes the recommended initialization of register config, resetting of PLLs, and TX_TRIG. I have also discovered that simply a TX_TRIG pulse can cause the even/odd flipping to occur as long as the MASK_TX_TRIG bit is cleared in the AFE.  This flipping doesn't occur every time. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't.

Does anyone any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thank you!
