DAC8571: Used as a one-quadrant multiplying DAC

Part Number: DAC8571

Hi team,

The reference voltage of DAC8571 is 0 ~ VDD. One of our customers asked whether it can be used as a one-quadrant multiplying DAC? VREF voltage input range is 0-1V and signal frequency is 1kHz.

Best Regards,

  • Hi,

One quadrant multiplying means AC reference voltage of 0 to 1V @ 1Khz ?

This device is not an mDAC. So no ac reference voltage is accepted at the reference input.

If your question is about generating sine wave using this DAC, yes you can do that.
