DAC1220: using different Vref IC for DAC1220

Part Number: DAC1220
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA350, OPA2171, OPA2197

Hi TI Technical Support Team,

I am planning to use DAC1220 20 bit DAC for my application. My question is regarding the choosing Vref IC for DAC1220. The DAC1220 EVM reference design uses REF1004-2.5 together with OPA350 (as buffer) as 2.5V reference for DAC1220. But I am planning to use MCP1501-2.5V as Vref IC for DAC1220. I have 2 questions regarding this issue.

1. Is it ok to use MCP1501-2.5V IC as Vref for DAC1220 without degrading DAC1220 performance or should I use REF1004-2.5?

2. Is it ok to use OPA2197 or OPA2171 instead of OPA350 as buffer?

As I already have MCP1501, it will be good for me to use it (also due to its low price). But if it will decrease the performance of DAC1220, I will use REF1004-2.5.

Thank you for your help,

Regards,

Ahmet
