ADS8588H: ADS8588HIPM

Part Number: ADS8588H

Hello,

I am using the this ADC for a 6-wire LVDT interface that uses an 2kHz (+-10%) Excitation signal.

In Figure 55. "Third-Order LPF Magnitude Response" the Butterworth Low-Pass-Filter shows a non-linearity just between 2 and 3 kHz.

Question: Where can I optain the amplitude errors of the LPF for a 2kHz (+-10%) signal?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Lars

  • Hi Lars,

The magnitude is -1.1dBFS for the passband of the LPF in Figure 55, and the measured magnitude at few frequencies shows -1dBFS (e.g. 2.35kHz). Notice that the y axis unit is dBFS instead of dB,  and the test was done with -1dBFS signal level because we did not want to saturate the device, so the actual magnitude is -0.1dB. I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Dale.
