To use WaveVision5, the customer would need the WaveVision 5 Data Capture Board and also a compatible data converter evaluation module that supports a DC coupled configuration. I would suggest using a different solution.

To help you find a solution, do you know if there are any ADC requirements? (ie. # bits, data interface)

Thank you for the help. 

As per the customer, they have no prior experience with ADC. And what they would like to do is readout DC voltage from range uV to up to 3 V, the more reading resolution in terms of digits is better and also fast readout at least 10 Mbits as they are doing experiments at 1.5 MHz.

They will be using python to read out the DC value and the input voltage signal will be fed via coaxial cable.

I hope you can suggest a solution.

Just to confirm. The sample rate for the application is 10MSPS? and the analog input frequency is 1.5MHz?

How about the number of bits and number of ADC channels? Also the digital interface would also help us narrow down the best solution for you.

Yes, the sample rate is 10MSPS and the analog input frequency is 1.5MHz.

In addition, the customer only needs 1 channel to measure few uV to V (max 2 V). However, the customer does not specify the number of bits and the digital interface. Maybe you can suggest what is commonly used in this regard?

Hi Marvin,

As Rob mentioned, the ADC3541 is a great choice if the customer application supports the resolution it provides. This data converter has a 2.25Vpp full-scale meaning each ADC code will represent about 137uV (2.25Vpp/2^14).

If this is insufficient, the 16-bit flavor of this ADC (ADC3563) reduces this down to ~48uV/bit and the 18-bit ADC (ADC3583) changes this to ~12.2uV/bit. (Note that the full-scale changes to 3.2Vpp for both the ADC356x and ADC358x device families.)
