AMC3336: Temperature range

Part Number: AMC3336

Hello,

for multiple devices in our railway signaling applications we want to use AMC3336 to read voltages and AMC3306 to read currents.

For AMC3336 on the datasheet has been set the limitation of the maximum temperature to 85°C.

In our application the temperature could reach 105°C.

Questions:

  1. Can AMC3336 work at 105°C without getting damaged? Are only the parameters worse? Which? For example: offset increase .. In this case we could evaluate if it is tolerated for us.
  2. Is there expected to be a new version of AMC3336 that will work at 125°C like AMC3306?

Tanks

  • Hi Giorgio,

The device will operate as expected up to 125C with the exception of the DC/DC converter sourcing current Ih. The DC/DC converter can source up to 1mA until 85C and will degrade at temperatures >85C. Figure 7-6 in the data sheet explains this.

    Regards,

    Aaron
