ADS1192ECG-FE: DB-9 Connector

Part Number: ADS1192ECG-FE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1192, ALLIGATOR

Hi,

The eval kit for ADS1192 requires a DB-9 Connector for Simulator as given in the User guide for the Evaluation module.

If I want to connect dry/wet electrodes to the eval kit where should I connect them?

The DB-9 connector part number given in the user guide of the eval kit seems to have alligator/clip electrodes to it. How can I connect normal electrode form body (arm/leg) to the eval kit.

Please suggest a way.

Thank you,

Vedashree.

  • Hi,

Highly appreciate for using TI's products.

This ticket has been received/viewed, and I will get back to you between 3~5 days.

    According to "ADS1x9xECG-FE User's Guide (Rev. A)" -

And, there are multiple ways to connect/hoot the DB9 pins to the electrodes -

e.g.1 you can splice/cut off the sleeve/cover of the DB9 cable, strip the wires, and figure out the pins to wires connection using DMM. Then use Alligator Clips, wire grabbers/clips/hook and Alligator to Grabber/hook cables to connect to electrodes.

e.g.2 there are something called DB9 breakout, you can obtain some Male and Female of these DB9 breakout to allow you connect to the eval kit without cutting/striping the DB9 cable. hen use Alligator Clips, wire grabbers/clips/hook and Alligator to Grabber/hook cables to connect to electrodes.

e.g. 3. data sheet suggests buy the ECG cable -

    Appreciate.
