ADS8866: Using TI REF35 for reference

Hi -

I am designing with the ADS8866 for a low power application.  The TI REF35 looks like it would be the lowest power voltage reference to use. 

I noticed in the ADS8866 the datasheet that the REF3330 is used, with an OPA333 as a buffer.  Would the REF35 require a similar buffer to achieve full performance or is the REF35 drive capable without the buffer amp?

Space and power are very important on this design so would like to minimize the number of parts.
