Hi Team,

What is the main purpose of setting extra lane register?

Say a certain JMODE has been selected, what could be a scenario enable extra lane?

    Hi Andrew,

    This extra lane register is used to enable the JESD lanes 1-7. This would be required when operating in a JMODE that requires more than 1 lane.

    This can be used with test pattern to verify all lanes are setup correctly. This could also be used in addition with JCTRL Register (Address = 0x204) - bit 4: ALT_LANES to utilize lanes 4-7 rather than lanes 0-3, providing flexibility in routing constraints if necessary. Ultimately, this allows for an increased flexibility when using this part.
