ADS8319: ADS8319IBDRCR thermal pad

Hi SunSet,

By the looks of it, there should be a thermal pad. When you look up the DRC package information on ti.com, it only shows this package with a thermal pad. I am not sure why there is a page describing no thermal pad. Perhaps there is a version of the package without it but I could not find it.

thanks for the info. The conflict in the datasheet is a problem.

On ti.com.on the product folder, there is also that picture:

Which is without thermal pad.

If the customer purchase on ti.com they cannot send the units back.

This ADC is not that cheap.

Thus I need a confirmation if the thermal pad is there or not.

I would ask to remove the conflict on the datasheet as well.

If you cannot gather it, I may send samples as confirmation.

Sorry for the delay. I have ordered samples to confirm. There seems to be conflicting images on ti.com as well. I will also try and get to the bottom of it so we can clear up any confusion online.

I sent same samples to the customer as well. But it would still help that you can verify it as well and update the datasheet/drawing which are creating the conflict.

the customer got the samples for the ADS8319IBDRCR.

There is no thermal pad.

Something needs to be updated.
