ADS1299-4: Unused pin clarification

Hi Experts,

The Pin Configuration and Functions found on page 5 of the datasheet shows the full pin out for ADS1299, since ADS1299-4 is also using the same package (64-Pin) can you confirm if Pins 1 through 8 (channels 5 through 8) in a 4-channel device must also be connected to AVDD, or they should simply be left floating?

Are these pins not connected internally or should I still write the configuration registers to power those down?

Hi Marvin,

If the input pins are disconnected via register configuration, they can be left floating. Tying them to AVDD to eliminate any parasitic power draw would be best.

Hi Nick,

Follow up question, Are Channels 5 through 8 in a 4-channel device (ADS1299-4) deactivated during fabrication / testing, or they are simply out of specs but still alive?
