Hello,
What is the maximum current sinking capability of the SDA and SCL lines?
Hi Ashiful,
We don't specify a maximum but the Vol spec has a 3mA current sink condition. May I ask why this condition is needed? Are you trying to size the pull-up resistors?
Regards,
Aaron
Hi Aaron. Yes, we need to know the maximum current sinking capability because we are planning to use less than 1kOhm pull-up resistors. The system has other devices on the I2C lines and we need to go below 1kOhm to ensure we have proper raise time.
Hi Ashiful,
Apologies for the delayed response. I was able to discuss this with the team and the absolute maximum current sink for the I2C pins is 10mA. Since this is an Abs Max condition, we recommend to keep the current on I2C pins < 10mA if sustained use is required.
Regards,
Aaron Estrada
