ADS1261: ADS1261BIRHBR vs ADS1261BQWRHMRQ1

Part Number: ADS1261

Hi,

I've looked and cannot find anything to decode the TI part number and would like to know the difference between:
ADS1261BQWRHMRQ1

and

ADS1261BIRHBR

It is clear the device package is different but otherwise I'm not clear on what the other differences are.

Thanks,

Tyler

  • Hi Tyler,

welcome to our e2e forum and thanks a lot for your interest in our ADS1261.

I can help you decode the letters after the "ADS1261B".

    • First letter is the temperature range indication.
"Q" stands for the automotive temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
"I" stands for the industrial temperature range but can be -40°C to 85°C, 105°C or 125°C
    • The next few letters are the TI package designators.
"RHB" for the 32-pin QFN package
"WRHM" for the wettable flank 32-pin QFN package
    • Thereafter follows the carrier type.
"R" in this case indicates a large tape&reel.
    • "Q1" indicates that this device is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications

The main difference between the two devices is that one device is the version qualified according to AEC-Q100 for automotive.
Both devices have the same features and functionality. There might be slight differences in the MIN and MAX parameter specifications.
