Hello

I have an application where I need 6 simultaneously analog inputs

2 loadcells

2 potentiometer

2 4-20mA sensors

for petentiometere I will connect the negative analog inputs to ground ; the postive analoge will be from potentiometer with maxiumum volt 1.2V.

for 4-20ma I will use 50ohm resistor between postive and negative analog inputs and connect negative analoge input to ground .

for laod cells I will excite the laodcell of 8V and use 64 gain . can I connect the laodcell signals directly to the inputs ?

Could you pls varify my connections

Hi Hector,

Connecting the load cells should not be an issue. Can you provide a schematic for you proposed connections to the ADS131M06? It would make our job a little easier to see exactly what it is that you plan to do.

Well, that will be problematic - the ADS131M06 cannot use your 8V excitation as a reference voltage. Have you looked at the ADS1234? That might be an option for you if you can reduce your excitation voltage to 5V. The ADS1262 may also be an option for you.

Ahh - I see. Let me dig around a bit and see if there is anything I can come up with that allows a ratiometric measurement - can you give details on your bridge sensor?
