Hi everyone,

I use TSW1400EVM and ADS4249EVM to collect data as digitals. But I want to save origin data from it.

I choose file-save raw adc codes as binary file. Then I put it into Matlab. After fft, the spectrum is totally different.

Figure 1 is produced by real fft in HSDC Pro. Figure 2 is produced by Matlab(Here I have only taken items with a frequency bigger than zero). But it still has a symmetrical peak. I'm confused.

And I have more question.

I want to continually save data. I select 'data capture options'---'capture options' and chek both 'continuous capture' and 'write captured data to file'.

But after I stop capturing, I cannot find where the data file is.

Jiaxuan,

I would focus on getting a valid capture before attempting to process the data using Matlab. There still appears to be an issue with the capture from what I can tell. I would also try using .csv data if possible.

After stopping the continuous capture, only the last capture is saved. This is saved at the following location:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\

I'm very disappointed if this feature doesn't work. Are there some apis for HSDC Pro we can change to achieve it? I believe if we can get last capture, it means all data have been collect.

And is there a capture board that can do it?

Jiaxuan,

Your only other option would be to do an automation capture using external or software triggering. Every time you issue a trigger, data will be captured and saved. This is all we can offer for you.
