Hi,

I'm trying to sample repeating signals with the AFE-using scope I have verify that the sampled signal is consistent ,

after analyzing the data I have found 5% error from pulse to pulse ,

the AFE is configure to work with DTGC ,what can be casing the problem ?

Hi Yonatan,

We don't expect this behavior from the AFE58JD28 part. Can you share below information to better understand your experiment -

1. Input waveform diagram. We are specifically interested in following info - signal frequency, pulse repetition frequency (PRF), peak overload, signal amplitude (post-overload). A diagram or scope output would be really helpful here.

2. Register dump for all VCA, ADC, JESD (if using) and Demodulator (if using) registers to understand the AFE context.

3. Are you using the customer EVM for this experiment or on your system board? Did you get a chance to check this behavior on customer EVM?

4. Input network of AFE58JD28.

Hi,

after more testing I have found that the cause to the problem comes from the TR switch - TX810,

see picture attached:

With the TR always on the samples was consistent.
