ADS8353-Q1: maximum acquisition time

Part Number: ADS8353-Q1

Hello there,

about the acquisition time, the EC table says that the maximum acquisition time is tacq=33*tCLK-tconv= 33*50ns-730ns=920ns (when 20Mhz, dual SDO mode)

however, in figure 7-6 the tacq start at the end of tconv, ends at the falling edge of the second CS signal, it seems that the acquisition time depends on the CS period?

i am confused about this two description about tacq.

please help me understand here.

  • HI Shubiao,

The diagram just shows that you need to adjust the falling edge of CS to ensure that the maximum timing is met. Additionally, a CS period (Frame) is composed of tconv + tacq so keep this in mind as well while ensuring that the maximum acquisition time is met. I hope this makes sense. If not, please let me know and I can clarify further.
