I have installed the latest software and drivers, and have basic communications with the ADS1259EVM however, when initializing the EVM through ADCPro it reports "Error code 85 Scan from String AR92 in EEPROM.LVLIB:EEPROM check ID.VIT ADS1259EVM.lvib:ADS1259EVM.lvclass:ADS1259EVMPannel.vi:1"

I have two of these eval kits both act the same.

Do the EEPROM require a update.

Please advise

Dean,

The issue is that the EEPROM on those boards never got programmed it would seem. The only time we see error code 85 is when the contents of the EEPROM are blank, and therefore the DSP sends an empty string back to the PC that LabVIEW tries to parse. I'll get back to you shortly with a work-around.

Mr Tabel -

Are you using ADCPro v2.x.x or v1.x.x? We can help you get this fixed, just let us know the version. It is much easier to fix in the newest version of ADCPro.

I am using 2.0.0build 57.

BTW: I had some serious trouble to get this software installed. Are only English versions of windows supported ?

I had tried on all kind of German versions and get always some errors regarding ADMIN rights.

Horst -

OK...attached find a file that you should overwrite the existing file with. This file should be placed at the following location: C:\Program Files\ADCPro\plugins\evm\ads1259evm (depending on your OS version the Program Files may be Program Files (x86)).

Regarding the ADCPro installation, we tried to be preemptive and check for ADMIN rights for users to make sure they had the proper access. It is interesting that you asked if support for English version only (did you successfully get it to install on an English version and not on a German version?) We are currently working to remove the check, which seems to work OK. So if you continue to have problems, let us know and we can point you to the test version that has that feature removed. We do appreciate the feedback though...thanks!

Greg,

i have tried installation on German XP32, Win7 32 and Win7 64 with no success.

On English XP32 installation was ok until I hit the eeprom problem.

So probably the ADMIN check have a language issue somehow.

Will try out the eeprom fix tomorrow morning.

Hallo,

I also have the problem with error code 85. I'm using the versions:

ADCPro version 2.0.1.build 4

EVM: ADS1259EVM version 2.0.0

Test: version. 0.0.0.0

Please send me the file(s) to fixup this problem. Or is there an public folder where I can download?

Please see the previous post containing instructions and an attached ini file. Follow the instructions to and this should alleviate your problems.
